Bog Snorkelling Triathlon
6th Jul 2008
The Bog Triathlon first ran in 2005, following a demand for more dirty fun around our famous Waen Rhydd Bog
The event - the most unusual in the Triathlon calender starts with a 7.5 mile (6mile for juniors) run followed by 2 lengths of the 60 yard peat bog trench and then a 19 mile (12 miles for juniors) mountain cycle. The event is open to individuals and relay teams.

This years winner became a Double World Champion - also winning the World Mountain Bike Bog Snorkelling held on the previous day. Well done to Dan Bent, whose time also made it as a new World Record 02:23:46
As if that wasn't enough for one family, Nat Bent set a New World Record and became the fastest female, completing the course in 03:09:59
Well done to all who entered - hope to see you in years to come!
